State troopers conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 78 near Union Township for multiple vehicle violations around 1 a.m., according to State Police.
After noticing "indicators of criminal activity," a K-9 narcotics unit was used to investigate while police obtained a search warrant.
Police seized over 9,000 grams of THC edibles, more than 9,500 THC cartridges and nearly 450 THC candy bars that were found in the vehicle, authorities said.
THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the primary psychoactive agent in cannabis.
The drivers of the vehicle, Chanthorn Khut and Veronica DeSimone are facing felony and misdemeanor charges including possession with intent to deliver. Both of their bail amounts were set at $250,000.
